This painting is based on the view from my hotel room in Davos-2011, on an early morning after fresh snowfall. I had woken up at 4 am, looked through the window and saw fresh snow had fallen, covering everything in powder. It was absolutely quiet, yet the experience was musical. Allegro-Largo-Allegro---Fast and Slow tempos flow seamlessly into a continuity of baroque beauty. This visual concerto grosso is in the rare key of C#. The brisk tempos of the globe bracket a Largo in the Alpine heights.
